Data Collected
I obtain my original data-set from the United Nations Statistics Division website (http://unstats.un.org/unsd/snaama/dnllist.asp). I have selected a data-set under the category per-capita GDP in US Dollar; the data-set itself is called All countries for all year—sorted alphabetically.
This data-set is an excel file containing the annual per-capita GDP in US Dollars for 216 countries from 1970 to 2010. This excel file is the foundation on which I built my project; this foundation provides me with data from a large number of countries across a timeframe of 40years. Percentage change in per-capita GDP is also a good indicator of economic growth.
